There’s No Place (and no taste) Quite Like Monterey

Nestled on the Pacific coast, about two hours south of San Francisco, the hidden gem that is Monterey has long inspired the artists, writers, and dreamers among us. Including the artisans whose passion is creating wine.

It’s no wonder that winegrower Peter Figge was immediately drawn to Monterey. The cool temperatures, ocean breezes and one-of-a-kind topography make it an ideal spot for crafting wine. We’re not claiming superiority to places like Napa and Sonoma. We’re just saying, it’s different here and you can taste it.

Figge partners with a family of growers to harvest grapes from some of the finest small-lot vineyards in Monterey, and has forged close relationships with the folks that own and operate each one. Peter handpicks only the best grapes from the best vineyards, each perfectly suited for the varietals we produce.

Figge’s vineyards are comprised of Pelio, Paraiso, River Road and Sycamore Flat. They’re located throughout Monterey County, from a few miles off the Pacific Ocean facing the hills of Carmel Valley, to the canyons of Arroyo Seco and hillside slopes of the Santa Lucia Highlands. These vineyards embody the true spirit of California.

We’d love to have you visit and give you a personal tour. Until then, you can get a taste of Monterey with every glass of Figge.
